Attention Parents and Students:
Our 3rd through 8th grade students will be participating in the Smarter Balanced Assessments in April when we return from Spring Break. To facilitate the assessments for the students, we will be on an alternative testing schedule starting April 8 through April 29.
To access the testing schedule for the month of April, as well as to see when your student will be participating in the assessment, you can click HERE.
Contact Mr. Cummins if you have any questions.

Great job to all of our students for their hard work!
As many of you are aware, with the exception of our 5th and 8th grade students taking the Science CST, CST (STAR) testing is being replaced with the new computer-based assessment referred to as the SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium). If you would like to take the new test for a spin, follow the link below for a practice version. We will be providing additional information on the SBAC in the near future:

Here at Briggs K8th School we welcome all to be part of the learning process! We love to see volunteers and visitors on our campus. To ensure that this process is safe for all students and staff we would like to introduce our new volunteer and visitor badge system. All volunteers and visitors will need to sign in at the front office in our Volunteer/Visitor Book. If you are a volunteer and plan to volunteer for more than four hours a week you will need to have a TB test on file at the office and have a volunteer packet completed. Please sign in as a volunteer and wear a “Volunteer” yellow badge. If you are only visiting our campus for four hours or less a week you will need to sign in as a visitor and wear a white badge. All of our badges are numbered, please leave through the office and sign out and return your numbered badge in the basket. We look forward to implementing these new volunteers and visitors’ safety procedures to better keep our campus safe! Thank you for your assistance as we work together to make our school great for everyone!
FRONT Loop (6-8): only enter from the RIGHT, exit from the LEFT. You may only enter the Front Loop driveway by travelling south on Roswell to make a right-turn into the driveway. Cars travelling North on Roswell will not be allowed to make a left-turn into the driveway.
SOUTH Loop (K-5): only enter from the LEFT, exit from the RIGHT
*Pick up your children from the Front or South Loops NOT from different streets/corners in our neighborhood.
ALL gates onto campus will be locked until 7:55 am, locked right after the tardy bell rings, and will remain locked until 1 minute before dismissal. ALL visitors MUST sign in through the office. Only parents on the list of volunteers given to the office by the teacher will be allowed to go back to the classrooms during instructional time.
